Brandt Comes From Second Card to Win Second Consecutive Manitowalk in the Park Open Title

A stellar 13 under par round at the brand new Lower Cato Falls course by Manitowoc pro Nick Mrozinsky was not enough to fend off last year’s Manitowoc in the Park champion Ross Brandt who came back from the second card to retain his title for another year.

Brandt drove all of the way from St. Paul, MN to compete in this event that is held almost as far East as possible, but he wasn’t the only one who made a long trip to win in Manitowoc.

The 2010 Women’s Open Barrett White made the trip all the way from Forrest Park, IL and had plenty of good things to say about the event, the courses, and the women she got to compete against.

This year marks the tenth year of the event which has been run by Jim VanLanen from the beginning. The tournament barely escaped a rain delay at the end of the second round as thunderstorms rolled in.
